You Just Don't Know It Chapter 11

Here's chapter 11. (: _________________ (The next morning Brandie woke up barely aware of who she was, she felt numb, and was confused. Slowly, everything came back to her. She remembered Joe's soft hands removing the blindfold, the fire, Joe saving her, waking up in the hospital, and the box. The box. She suddenly regained the urge to know what was inside it again. She sat up and then shifted her legs from the couch to the floor. She tried to stand up, and that's when the numb feeling went away. The pain was back, and it sent shocks of tear-jerking pain up her lower leg. Brandie reached for her crutches and hoisted herself off the couch as fast as possible. She was up and walking on her crutches then) NICK: Should I wake her up? (Brandie could hear Nick in the kitchen) MRS. J.: Let her sleep in awhile longer. She needs it. (Brandie walked over to the stairs and then slowly ascended up the stairs. It took her a good 5 minutes) (Brandie then went over to Nick's room and propped her left crutch on his door so she could open it. Once she turned the knob, the weight from the crutch swung the door open and the crutch landed on the floor with a loud THUMP!) BRANDIE: Now let's see..
